About Us

Leisure Guard was established back in 2013 and with over 30 years’ experience in financial services is a family-run organisation, and registered/authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority.

When taking time out from our busy schedules, as a family we are passionate about travelling and exploring other countries, to which we have been extremely fortunate to visit some wonderful places in the world. Some of our highlights have been visiting the likes of South Africa, USA, Dubai, Mexico and the Far East.

 We saw travelling as an opportunity for our family to experience new places and immerse ourselves into local cultures, which is an education. Sharing our adventures and experiences with family and friends was something we really enjoyed, so much so we became Travel Agents (ABTA, ATOL and CLIA Certified). Now we are sharing our experiences and knowledge with a wider community.

However, whilst travelling is a wonderful experience, there have been occasions where we have experienced the negative side of travel, such as holidays being cancelled, flight delays / cancellations or medical emergencies overseas. At that point it dawned on us to start a business that would look to provide insurance products that would meet a wide range of customer demographics to fit their holiday needs. The cost for repatriation and medical emergencies overseas is expensive, particularly in the USA, where some cases have put people into financial ruin. This encouraged us to be a true champion of the value of having Travel Insurance in place to avoid such eventualities.

It has always been in our minds that when we travelled, we had “Peace of Mind” knowing in the case of any eventuality we were protected by having travel insurance in place.

In 2013, we set up a business that would offer comprehensive, Defaqto-rated insurance coverage, which customers would be able to purchase seamlessly through an online booking platform or via a call centre with immediate human interaction, complemented by an online chat facility, while ensuring that, upon payment, documentation was instantly emailed to customers, making the process of purchasing insurance easy and efficient.

 We are driven individuals who take great pride and care over our customers’ feedback and communication, so much so we as Directors have “eyes on” all emails, reviews, comments, and that is so we as business owners can in a live environment see how our business is operating and to evaluate areas we are doing well and areas that we can improve on a day to day basis. We are very much in touch with our business and our customers.

 The Leisure Guard brand over time has expanded into other leisure-related areas such as an online hotel booking platform, airport parking, currency, a travel agency and providing consumer finance into the leisure sector.

 Our journey as a family and as a business continues and we look forward to making more memories and bringing more leisure products to the market under the same philosophy of providing people with “Peace of Mind” through the Leisure Guard brand.
